About Us

Heather Leider transitioned into a professional photographer in 2007, but her passion and experience spans much further back.  She graduated with honors from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2008 with an Associates of Applied Science in Photography.  She is an active member in several professional organizations including Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Austin Professional Photographers Association (2020 President of APPA), and Wedding Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).  Each of these organizations offers continuing education and resources to help which Heather actively participates in several times a year. 

With a personal connection to the Public Safety community having both family members and her own first-hand experience she holds the highest respect for those who choose this profession.  She also feels their images should be handled with the same respect. 

Heather photographs using a documentary / photojournalistic style in order to achieve the most realistic images possible from either staged scenarios or active incidents.  She also has the knowledge and skills to photograph products and standard portraits.  Some of her work has been used by Police K9 Magazine, Harris Corporation, Intergraph, City of Lakewood Colorado, K9 Dynamics, Secure Outcomes, Colorado Police Canine Association, and Wasatch Tactical Solutions.  The images have been displayed via websites, publications, product guides, and more.
